Overview And Highlights
TRIP FACTS

The 8 Days Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is an ideal adventure for trekkers who want to experience the dramatic landscapes, Himalayan culture, and high-altitude challenge of the Manaslu region in a compact itinerary. This trek offers an immersive experience of Nepal's remote northern borderlands with stunning views of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), the world’s eighth highest mountain.
Beginning with a drive from Kathmandu to Jagat, the journey moves through verdant river valleys, picturesque mountain villages, and alpine forests. You'll pass culturally rich Gurung and Tibetan-influenced settlements, including Deng, Namrung, and the spiritual village of Samagaon. The highlight of the trek is the breathtaking crossing of the Larkya La Pass (5,160m), which offers panoramic vistas of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.
Despite being a shorter version of the classic 14-16 day trek, this itinerary is physically demanding due to long walking hours and high-altitude gain. It is best suited for experienced trekkers or those with good physical fitness looking for a challenging Himalayan adventure.
The trail is far less crowded compared to Everest or Annapurna, offering a more peaceful and raw experience. You’ll traverse suspension bridges, steep ridgelines, and glacial valleys while spotting blue sheep, yaks, and Himalayan birds. The hospitality of local tea houses, scenic beauty, and the challenge of crossing one of Nepal’s highest trekking passes makes this 8-day circuit truly unforgettable.
