Overview And Highlights
TRIP FACTS

Annapuna Encounter Team has combined two incredible adventures into one unforgettable experience: a trek to Everest Base Camp followed by a scenic helicopter flight from Gorak Shep back to Kathmandu. This journey is a must-do for anyone with Mt.Everest (8848m) on their bucket list.
Starting with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, we begin our trek, passing through picturesque landscapes like Phakding and the culturally rich town of Namche Bazaar, surrounded by lush pine and cedar forests. In Namche Bazaar, we ascend to the Everest View Hotel for breathtaking vistas of Everest (8848m), Tawache (6495m), Lhotse (8516m - the world's 4th highest peak), and Ama Dablam (6812m). Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Tengboche Monastery (3860m) to immerse yourself in the unique Buddhist culture of the region.
Our trail leads us to Dingboche and then to Nagarjuna, nestled on a green hillside with distant views of Himalayan giants like Lobuche East (6119m), Thamserku (6608m), and Khangtega (6685m). Continuing from Dingboche, we venture to Gorak Shep and finally reach our ultimate destination, Everest Base Camp (5364m), situated at the foot of the Khumbu Glacier, the world's highest glacier spanning 12 km from 4900m to 7600m. The last leg of our adventure takes us back to Gorak Shep, where a helicopter will be ready to transport us back to Kathmandu. It's an ultimate experience and a dream come true for photographers, offering unparalleled views of Everest and other majestic Himalayan peaks.

Best Season For EBC Heli Trek
Spring ( March to May)
Nepal's springtime, spanning from March to May, emerges as an ideal period for embarking on the Everest Heli Trek with Kalapathar Landing. This season gifts you with stable weather, pleasant temperatures, and skies devoid of clouds. Along the trek, you'll be greeted by vibrant rhododendron blooms, adding to the natural splendor. Keep in mind, though, that weather surprises are possible, especially with occasional snowfall at higher altitudes. So, it's wise to pack snug attire and suitable gear for your journey.
Summer ( June to August )
Nepal's summer season, spanning from June to August, is not the recommended time for the Everest Heli Trek with Kalapathar Landing. This period sees the monsoon's heavy rainfall, which can make the trek route muddy and slippery. Clouds and fog can obscure mountain views, diminishing the scenic experience. Additionally, helicopter flights may be affected by poor visibility during this season.
Autum ( September to November )
Nepal's autumn season, from September to November, stands as the optimal time for the Everest Heli Trek with Kalapathar Landing. During this period, you can expect dry weather, clear skies that offer unhindered mountain views, and comfortable temperatures suitable for both trekking and helicopter flights. Furthermore, the trekking route tends to be less crowded in autumn, making it an ideal choice for your journey.
Winter ( December to February)
Winter in Nepal, spanning from December to February, is not the ideal time for the Everest Heli Trek with Kalapathar Landing. During this season, temperatures can plummet, and higher altitudes may witness heavy snowfall, rendering the trek route hazardous and challenging. Additionally, harsh weather and limited visibility can impact helicopter flights. Nevertheless, if you are an experienced trekker equipped to handle extreme weather conditions, it is still possible to undertake this trek in winter.

During these months, the weather is generally clear, providing stunning views of the mountain ranges. Additionally, the summer season (June, July, August) can be a great option if you prefer fewer crowds and want to witness a wide variety of flora and fauna.
