This Khopra Ridge Trek commences in the capital city of Kathmandu and includes a flight to Pokhara. The actual trek begins with a walk from Kimche to the charming village of Ghandruk, the largest Gurung settlement in the Annapurna region. Along the way, trekkers traverse lush forests of pine, oak, rhododendron, and bamboo, all while enjoying stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), and Machhapuchhre (6997m). The trail meanders through picturesque villages inhabited by Magar, Gurung, Kami, Chhetri, and Brahmin communities, surrounded by their unique landscapes. In the early hours, board a flight to Pokhara, where you'll be treated to breathtaking mountain vistas. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we embark on a scenic drive to Kimche via Nayapul, savoring the picturesque countryside scenery. From there, we ascend on stone steps through the forest, eventually reaching Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region. During our time in Ghandruk, we have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Gurung lifestyle and culture, visit the Gurung Museum, and explore the Buddhist monastery. The village offers remarkable views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m) from virtually every vantage point. We will spend the night at a lodge in Ghandruk.

Rise and witness a breathtaking mountain panorama. Continue the ascent, leaving behind the terraced hillsides and the charming village of Ghandruk. This leg of the journey promises to be delightful, with the soothing sounds of birdsong and trickling waterfalls. During spring, the rhododendrons will be in full bloom, adding to the beauty of the surroundings. Along the way, we'll be treated to splendid views of the Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre (6993m), and Lamjung Himal (6983m). As we trek through oak and rhododendron forests, we eventually arrive in Tadapani, a place known for its perfect vantage points for both sunset and sunrise. We will spend the night at a lodge in Tadapani.

Commence by trekking through dense rhododendron woodland and climb above the treeline to savor a superb perspective of the Annapurna range. Continuing through the rhododendron forest, we reach Meshar Danda. Subsequently, we ascend gradually amid the forest, ultimately reaching Isharu. Once more, we traverse a grassy terrain, briefly descending before ascending between small hills to arrive at Dobato. Optionally, you can extend your stay for a day to embark on a hike to the Hidden Lake from Dobato. We will spend the night at a lodge in Dobato.

In the early hours, embark on a 30-minute hike to reach the Muldai View Point, offering a complete 360-degree panorama of the Himalayas, including the Dhaulagiri range and Annapurna massif, as well as Machhapuchhre (6993m). Following the descent through a dense rhododendron forest, we begin an ascent that leads us to Bayli Kharka. Subsequently, we descend once more through the thick rhododendron woods, crossing a wooden bridge, and then ascend to reach the grassy meadows. Continuing our gradual ascent, we finally arrive at a herder's settlement in Chistibung. We will spend the night at a lodge in Chistibung.

Continuing our journey today, we progress towards Khopra, steadily ascending above the treeline. Along the way, keep an eye out for fascinating wildlife such as Himalayan Thar and Danphe pheasant. As we ascend gradually, we eventually arrive at Khopra Ridge, where we are greeted by a breathtaking vista of the Annapurna range, the Dhaulagiri range, and Nilgiri (7061m), among others. On the opposite side of the Kali Gandaki Valley, the Dhaulagiri range dominates the entire western horizon. We will spend the night at the Community Lodge in Khopra Danda.

Descend and proceed with a steep downhill trajectory. We follow our previous path back to Chistibung. Subsequently, we embark on an ascent through the wooded terrain, eventually reaching Kharka. This spot proves to be a delightful spot for a midday meal. Afterward, we cross a petite wooden bridge and continue along a trail that winds through a bamboo forest, characterized by its undulating terrain, until we reach Swanta. In Swanta, you'll have the opportunity to experience the gracious hospitality of the Magar people. We will spend the night at a lodge in Swanta.

The path leads us down to a suspension bridge spanning a small stream. From there, we follow a steep, meandering trail, ascending until we reach Phalante, where we join the main trekking route leading to Ghorepani or Tatopani. Continuing on our journey, we proceed through rhododendron forests, ascending to Danda Kharka. Along the way, we pass by several yak and sheep grazing fields, all while being treated to a breathtaking mountain vista. Our ascent continues, taking us to Fulbari and then on to Mohare Danda. Mohare Danda stands as a picturesque, natural, and elevated ridge, offering a sweeping panorama of the Annapurna region's mountains. We will spend the night at the Community Lodge in Mohare Danda.

In the early hours, savor the mesmerizing sunrise spectacle over the mountains before embarking on the next leg of our journey. We venture into the forest as we make our way towards Hampal Pass (3098m). Subsequently, the trail navigates steep, crisscrossing paths through the woods until we encounter a stone-cemented trail. From this point, we continue our descent, eventually arriving at the Magar Village of Nangi. The village provides unobstructed vistas of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, which can be clearly admired from this vantage point. While in Nangi, we have the opportunity to explore the village's schools and the surrounding area. We will spend the night at the community lodge in Nangi.

The path descends sharply along stone steps and subsequently ascends in the direction of Banskharka, where extensive orange orchards stretch for acres. Continuing our descent along a narrow trail, we veer away from the dirt road, ultimately reaching the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Here, we cross the river to arrive at Galeshwar, home to a renowned Hindu temple situated in the heart of the village. We will make a brief visit to this temple and then relax for the remainder of the day. We will spend the night at a lodge in Galeshwar.

Following this incredible journey, we ultimately take our leave of this remarkable locale and embark on a drive back to Pokhara, reveling in the picturesque vista of the countryside villages that dot the landscape. Once in Pokhara, you have the option to unwind by the shores of Phewa Lake or explore the various dining establishments and pubs along the lakeside. We will spend the night at a 4-star hotel in Pokhara.

During the morning hours, we embark on a hike to the World Peace Stupa, where we are treated to a 360-degree vista of the Himalayan ranges, stretching from Manaslu to Dhaulagiri ranges, encompassing Machhapuchhre (6993m) and the Annapurna massif. The stupa also affords a bird's-eye perspective of the entire Pokhara valley and Phewa Lake. Afterward, we hike back to Phewa Lake and utilize a boat to cross the lake. In the afternoon, we make our way to the airport for the return flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the airport, our car will be ready to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
