This trail follows the ancient trade routes to Tibet/China, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture, deeply rooted in Buddhism and the pre-Buddhist Bon sect, similar to indigenous cultures like the Inuit, North American Indians, or Laplanders, who worship nature and the five elements (Sky, Earth, Vegetation, Fire, and Water).
As you trek, you'll step back in time, experiencing the age-old traditions and heritage of the Tamang tribe, who have inhabited the northern Himalayan region of Nepal for centuries. According to their own history, they were originally from Southern Tibet, migrating from Inner Mongolia.
