1. Mardi Himal Trek

The Mardi Himal Trek, located just east of the Annapurna Base Camp trail, is a hidden gem in the Annapurna region. It offers a less-crowded and serene trekking experience with stunning mountain views. Few trekkers have explored this trail, making it a quieter and less-trodden option in Nepal.

The trek takes you along small winding paths through enchanting rhododendron forests, picturesque villages, deep valleys, terraced farms, and dazzling rivers. You'll be treated to exceptional views of Annapurna, Machhauchhre (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli mountains.Starting from High Camp (3540m), the trail climbs above the Mardi Himal Base Camp to a viewpoint that provides an up-close view of the entire Annapurna range. To avoid retracing the same route, a small circuit is made to reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp.

Please note that the teahouses and homestays along the trekking route are quite basic, though improvements are ongoing. In the forest camp, there are only three teahouses available for accommodation. If you plan to trek Mardi Himal during winter, it's advisable to check the availability of teahouses and homestays in advance

2. Ghorepani Ponn Hill Trek

To catch the sunrise from Poon Hill and witness the sun illuminating the mountains, you'll need to start early. The breathtaking 180-degree views include Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche (6920m), Dhampus, Nilgiri (2637m), Annapurna South (8091), Bhara, Sikhar, and Machapuchare (Fishtail- 6993m).
